【2月20日，台北訊】《爐石戰記®》即將於將下來幾週內展翅飛向獅鷲年，並推出大規模改動內容、上百張全新卡牌，以及刺激的全新遊玩模式。《貧瘠之地™》將為獅鷲年所推出的第一部資料片，其靈感源自於《魔獸世界®》的經典地圖，也就是好幾百萬名勇敢的部落冒險者磨練自身實力並開啟傳奇冒險的起點。
進入獅鷲年的同時，我們也將推出全新的《爐石戰記》核心系列卡牌，共有235張精選卡牌（包括全新推出的卡牌和曾經推出過的卡牌），並取代原有的基本和經典系列卡牌，並為遊戲注入新活力，無論是新手和老玩家都能充分享受樂趣。伴隨核心系列卡牌推出，全新的經典規則也將登場；在此模式中，玩家可使用《爐石戰記》在 2014 年上市時所推出的原始卡牌構築套牌並進行對戰。
今年下旬，我們還會推出全新的單人競技遊戲模式 ─《爐石戰記》傭兵戰隊，玩家可以召集艾澤拉斯最厲害的英雄和反派組成隊伍並加以升級，然後再派出這支隊伍進行一系列千變萬化、引人入勝且講究策略的戰鬥。
透過完成百玩不厭且隨機生成的Roguelike關卡，玩家的傭兵角色能夠獲得經驗值、裝備、新技能，並進化成威力更加強大的版本。

全新資料片：《貧瘠之地》
《貧瘠之地》將重返《魔獸世界》超人氣背景源頭，從遊戲角色和故事劇情當中汲取靈感，帶來 135 張全新卡牌。除了全新關鍵字與遊戲機制外，《貧瘠之地》也將帶來 10 個傳說傭兵手下，每個手下都分別代表《爐石戰記》的一個職業。他們的故事將在獅鷲年逐步展開，玩家也可透過即將推出的全新模式《爐石戰記》傭兵戰隊中進一步了解。
即日起，玩家可預購兩款組合包：
- 《貧瘠之地》英雄典藏大禮包（售價為新台幣$2,390元註1），內含85 包《貧脊之地》卡牌包（其中五包是黃金卡牌包）、兩張隨機傳說金卡、哈繆爾．符文圖騰卡背與英雄頭像、《爐石戰記：英雄戰場》特殊獎勵（持續至下一部資料片推出為止）。
- 《貧瘠之地》預購超值禮盒（售價為新台幣$ 1,490元註1），內含60包《貧脊之地》 卡牌包、兩張隨機傳說卡牌和哈繆爾．符文圖騰卡背。
《爐石戰記》傭兵戰隊
《爐石戰記》傭兵戰隊是即將推出的全新單人競技遊戲模式，玩家將收集來自《魔獸爭霸®》遊戲宇宙的強大角色（其中有些是玩家所熟悉的人物，也有些新面孔），並在熱血刺激的策略戰鬥中升級這些角色。傭兵戰隊預計於今年下旬推出，更多有關這個遊戲模式的資訊將於日後公布。
《爐石戰記》核心系列和經典規則
《爐石戰記》核心系列卡牌將伴隨獅鷲年一起推出。玩家只要升等即可免費解鎖核心系列卡牌，而且此系列卡牌將於每年更新。核心系列卡牌將會推出 235 張精選卡牌（其中包括全新卡牌以及曾經推出過的卡牌）以取代原有的基本和經典卡牌。全新的核心系列將替《爐石戰記》注入新活力，也會使整體遊戲環境對於新玩家更為友善。核心系列卡牌將包含 160 張職業卡牌和 75 張中立卡牌，陣容之中還有以《魔獸爭霸》背景設定作為基礎設計而成的傳說手下，例如：死亡之翼、瑪里苟斯和伊瑟拉等令人畏懼的巨龍。
獅鷲年還會為廣大玩家帶來《爐石戰記》經典規則，讓玩家有機會重溫遊戲於 2014 年上市的環境。和標準模式和開放模式一樣，內容完備的經典規則將擁有專屬的獎勵和積分排名，《爐石戰記》上市之初的卡牌都將原汁原味重返遊戲舞台。
